INTRODUCTION
In October of 2025, the Ministry of Justice commissioned Hook Tangaza – an independent, specialist advisory firm that focuses on the legal sector – to produce a report analysing the economic value of English law. The report seeks to: demonstrate the value English law delivers to the UK economy and to global commerce; highlight the features that make English law influential and internationally attractive; identify key risks and opportunities for future growth.
