ABSTRACT
Chapter 4 of the book Artificial Intelligence and Patents: foundations, inventorship and the Theory of Entrepreneurship, which derives from the PhD thesis of the author defended at Rio de Janeiro State University. The research seeks to contribute to the theoretical debate surrounding the legal protection of patents on inventions generated by AI, whether autonomous or not. This Chapter 4 is dedicated to present an original solution based on the partial conclusions reached in the previous chapters. Through the so-called ‘Theory of Entrepreneurship’, it aims is to provide an answer that can support future analysis of the role of patents in political and economic strategies, especially in the context of artificial intelligence as an instrument for developing inventions.
