ABSTRACT
This study examines the civil liability of online legal service platforms, which are increasingly used for legal advice, document drafting, and dispute resolution. By analyzing 300 real cases from Iran, the US, and the EU, the research identifies the main factors that lead to legal claims against these platforms. The results show that platforms with strong governance, clear user agreements, and effective dispute resolution systems face fewer legal problems. On the other hand, platforms that lack transparency or do not protect user data are more likely to be sued. The study suggests that improving platform management, updating user agreements, and following data protection laws can help reduce legal risks and increase user trust. These findings offer practical guidance for platform operators, policymakers, and legal professionals to make online legal services safer and more reliable for everyone.
