All contract professionals will be aware of, and scared of, ‘consequential’ loss. In drafting an academic note on the topic, I decided to enlist the help of an expert: ChatGPT. In this short note I review the advice given by the AI tool, advising against following the advice (!). I consider what professionals mean by the term consequential loss and provide a very brief summary of Common Law case law.
