ABSTRACT
Financial vulnerability of households has regained attention following the COVID-19 pandemic, the increase in the cost of living, the economic effects of the war in Ukraine. We posit that the ethical issues at stake have a strong influence on the political support to the solutions that can be put in place and that their clarification can help finding equitable solutions, both for creditors and debtors.
