ABSTRACT
This is a computer-generated transcript of a talk I gave in Vik Kanwar’s Colloquium on Art Law at Boston College Law School on March 18, 2022, in which I discussed my participation in, research on, and scholarship about the NFT market. Among other things, I reflected on the relationship between the conventional art market and the NFT market, why people buy NFTs, and what NFTs suggest about the future of copyright and the creative economy. Inaccuracies in the transcript fracture the narrative in ways I find quite delightful.
