Lectureship in Law, King’s College London – preference for private law

The Dickson Poon School of Law is looking to recruit four Lectureships who will become an integral part of the faculty. The successful candidates will therefore undertake world leading research, education and public engagement activities in the School, will take a significant role in the teaching and administration of undergraduate, postgraduate and postgraduate research programmes. The School has particular teaching needs at present in the law of property, in equity and the law of trusts, and in tort law, and also encourages applications from those whose teaching interests lie in the fields of public law, criminal law and contract law.

The stated research interest of successful candidates is open to any field of law, but a commitment also to the stated teaching needs of the School will be particularly valued. The successful candidates will also carry out such administrative and academic leadership duties as the Dean may require. Successful candidates for this post should have outstanding specialist knowledge in their area of law and excellent teaching skills. Candidates will be expected to make a strong contribution to the development of the School and College’s research profile and must have a demonstrable track record of excellence in legal research. S/he will also be expected to make a sound contribution to the development and delivery of teaching in the School in particular in respect of the core undergraduate curriculum on our LLB programmes, and, over time, contribute to teaching leadership in at least one core undergraduate module.
