ABSTRACT
The Law recognizes and affords legal protection to authors and other creators/inventors of intellectual property (‘IP’) for their qualifying works or other IP rights. This protection avails the creator or inventor the opportunity to enjoy exclusive economic benefits from the use of the invention or creative work (for a period of time). With the development of technology, some jurisdictions have extended this protection to cover works created by machine or Artificial Intelligence (‘AI’). These authors have proffered a framework for the protection of the IP rights of works created by AI in Nigeria.
