‘New legislation to introduce damages based agreements in Scotland’

“After years of discussion the Scottish Government has introduced legislation which will make major changes to the way litigation is funded, in a bid to support access to justice. The Scottish Government introduced the Civil Litigation (Expenses and Group Proceedings) Bill on 1 June. The legislation introduces a number of changes including increased funding options for civil claims in the Scottish courts ..” (more)
