“This year’s Private Law Junior Scholars Conference will assess the possible public aspects of private law. In what way – if at all – does private law have public aspects? Is there a strict divide between private law and public law, and if so where should the line be drawn? Could the contours of private law be delineated separately from other fields of law? In trying to find answers to these questions, we invite papers that explore issues of both a substantive and procedural nature, adopting different theoretical and methodological vantage points in approaching the overall conference topic. Topics for individual presentations and papers could include, but are not limited to: (1) private law and the state; (2) exercise of public powers through private law; (3) private law remedies for constitutional wrongs; (4) distributive aspects of private law; (5) public limitations on the exercise of private law; (6) minorities rights and private law …” (more)
