ABSTRACT
The evolution of Web 2.0 hosting services is affected by the increasing number of copyright infringements on the Internet. Each time the court considers another case of hosting service providers liability for copyright infringement, the standards of liability change. However, the most important issues remain the same: business model of the hosting provider and the way it responds to the notice-and-take down procedure. Recent years have added a new element to the puzzle, the judgment in the case of the major Polish hosting provider Chomikuj.pl.
